Eucharistic Ministers – Men and women appointed by the pastor who help distribute the Eucharist during Mass and also bring Communion to the shut-ins of the parish.

Lectors – Men and women who proclaim the readings at Mass and other liturgical services.

Choir – The ministry of the choir is to add beauty and solemnity to the liturgy, and to assist and encourage the singing of the congregation in its expression of faith and prayer. St. Patrick’s Choir welcomes any parishioner who enjoys singing and has a willingness to learn. Rehearsals are conducted every Thursday evening at the church at 7pm.

Catechists – Men and women who work with the Parish Office for Faith Formation to assist parents in providing their children and youth with formation in the Catholic faith. Each catechist works with approximately 8-10 children in a structured environment through our CCD and Faithways programs. Full training and support are provided to catechists.

Cantors – The ministry of the cantor is to lead worship through song, share in proclaiming the work of God as psalmist, and teach the assembly songs, refrains and acclamations.

Altar Servers – Young men and women of school age who assist at Mass and other liturgical services. Senior altar servers preside at funerals during the week.

Liturgy of the Word for Children – A liturgy held every Sunday during the 10am Mass providing children ages 4-9 with a celebration of the Sunday scripture readings in an age-appropriate presentation.

Hospital Ministry and Ministry to Shut-Ins – This ministry is responsible for seeing to the spiritual needs of patients at Montgomery Hospital. Parishioners who are confined to their homes are visited with the Eucharist and news of the parish. Mass is also celebrated regularly at the Regina Nursing Center and Rittenhouse West Nursing Center.
